Her favorite story is about a man who was institutionalized several times because he kept “seeing a mouse running around in his head”. The man is Walt Disney and his mouse’s name is Mickey. Walt says about Mickey “He popped out of my mind onto a drawing pad 20 years ago on a train ride from Manhattan to Hollywood at a time when business fortunes of my brother Roy and myself were at lowest ebb and disaster seemed right around the corner.” And “I hope that we don’t lose sight of one thing that it was all started by a mouse.” Walt Disney made a huge impact on the world and his greatest gift was the ability to bring out the child in us all.
